Update

15 months!

Chase is using lots of baby sign language now. It's so cool to see him get excited when he can communicate about the things that are interesting to him. It also really helps that he can communicate some of his needs. Let's see if I can list some of the signs he is using. There are so many now I'm sure I will forget something.

•milk, stars, flower, horse, bird, car, cow, cat, chicken, frog, fish, duck, hat, book, shoes, drink, eat, all done, more, bath, monkey, pig, sleeping, moon, fan, diaper, spider, turtle, bubbles, brushing his teeth, ball, outside, bye bye, butterfly, sunshine...
I will have to add some more if I've missed something.

He really picks them up fast if it's something that interests him. Here's a pic of him signing cow.

Fun at Gymboree and driving

We had a fun time at Gymboree last Saturday. It's been a long time since all three of us have gone together.

Almost 15 months

What a tough day. The school shooting in an elementary in Connecticut is just so beyond belief and so heartbreaking. All of our sweet babies are so precious. There is no understanding or comprehension for this type of tragedy.

Chase changes so much every day. He is using so many signs and adds some each day it seems like. We had a front blow through with rain and howling winds and he was just so fascinated watching the trees blow looking out the window. I taught him the sign for tree and moments later he was signing "tree" so excitedly as he watched them blowing in the wind.

Others things of interest to him lately are trains, planes, and motorcycles. He sees them in his picture books and picked those signs up so fast. He loves to communicate about his world and what he sees.
